Telly heaven

Easter has long been the season for luscious beards on TV. From Franco Nero in the original Jesus of Nazareth to oh-so-lustworthy Paul Nicholls in the current BBC Passion. Where there's a biblical epic there's a riot of face fur. Just give up the razor, boys.

In more telly news, BBC4's Mad Men is quite the classiest bit of TV for ages. Square-shouldered guys in awesome fifties suits, interiors to die for and the slickest cinematography and scripting this really is unmissable.

AND, we have the return of my beloved Peter Krause (Nate Fisher RIP) to the screen on Friday in Dirty Sexy Money.

Overall, so many reasons to stay on the sofa this weekend, not even mentioning the Arctic weather.
